Caring for your Grace & Angeline jewelry
Look after your colored gemstone jewelry as carefully as you would any other precious item. Given the delicate nature of our designs, normal wear and tear will occur during the life of each piece. You can easily clean any metal with a gentle jewelry polishing cloth at home. For your Sterling silver jewelry, please note that tarnishing is a natural process that happens when silver comes into contact with sulfur in the air. Mild tarnish is easily cleaned by using a mild detergent that does not contain any phosphate-based chemicals. If your silver jewelry is cleaned in this way, you will rarely need any harsher treatments for silver tarnish.
To keep your Grace & Angeline jewelry looking its best, we recommend the following easy steps:
- Avoid wearing your colored gemstone jewelry when involved in activities that could cause damage such as active sports, gardening and the like.
- Apply perfumes, hair products, colognes and other toiletries before you put your jewelry on.
- To clean, use a mild solution of soap and water. After letting your colored gemstone jewelry soak, gently clean with a soft brush. Rinse thoroughly, and lay on a soft cloth to dry.
- Avoid using ultrasonic cleaners, harsh chemicals and abrasives when cleaning coral, turquoise and other organic gemstones.
- Always store your jewelry in a cool, dry place and in such a way that items don’t scratch or scuff one another. Use a jewelry box with separate compartments, or wrap pieces in tissue paper before placing them in the box.

It is common practice for colored gemstones to be treated in some way to enhance their color or durability as they vary in hardness, durability and sensitivity. Because these treatments may make them more sensitive to light, heat, and chemicals, we recommend you only use warm water, mild soap, and an extra soft toothbrush to clean your colored stone jewelry at home.
If you have colored gemstone jewelry that you no longer wear, or have inherited a piece that you feel doesn’t suit you, we would be delighted to talk to you about redesigning your piece to mirror your current needs and style.
Our Repair Policy
Due to the delicate nature of our jewelry and the gemstones we use, some damage may occur during the life of your piece. For damage caused by normal wear-and-tear or fabrication defect, we are happy to repair your Grace & Angeline jewelry at no charge for one year from the date of purchase on graceandangeline.com and on jewelry purchased at the Grace & Angeline Jewelry Studio. After one year, repairs will incur a $25.95 charge plus any associated material costs and return shipping charges. An estimate of the repair charges will be sent to you via email before the repair is completed.
In case a repair fee is necessary, we will make every effort to keep that cost as low as possible.
If you have an item that requires repair, call us at 647-709-3519 or email us through the contact form. Include the product name and a description and how it has been damaged, as well as a telephone number. We will contact you to arrange for shipping.
Upon receipt of your repair, we will email a confirmation and inform you of any repair costs. We require 2-4 weeks to process all repairs. If a fee is involved, payment must be received before we can ship your item.
